Alice Cooper's Nightmare

11/04/2015

NORTH EAST ‘ALICE COOPER’ TO ACT UP FOR CHARITY.

A group of North East rockers are paying tribute to shock-rock king Alice
Cooper in aid of Toma Fund.

Band members from heavy rock groups Blitzkrieg, Satan and Mollies Treat
are swapping their ripped jeans and biker jackets for ‘blood’ soaked
silk shirts and thick make-up for a major concert at the Customs House in
South Shields.

Taking the lead role of Alice is Washington-based Brian Ross who has
fronted rock band Blitzkrieg for 35 years. During that time the band has
toured around the world and released 12 albums.

The musicians were approached by local promoter Brian Green to put on the
event after hearing about Toma Fund.

Brian Green said: “I approached the lads about putting together a
tribute show that would appeal to more people than just heavy rock fans.
Alice Cooper has fans across the musical spectrum and his shows are always
a musical extravaganza.

“The band will be belting out hits like 18, Billion Dollar Babies,
Elected, Poison and of course worldwide smash Schools Out, but most
importantly we will have all the elements of an Alice Cooper show.”

The tribute show is called Alice Cooper’s Nightmare and is based on the
record-breaking Theatre of Death tour and includes all the amazing stunts
that fans expect from an Alice Cooper live show.

These include the hangman’s noose, Alice getting beheaded and of
course the appearance of a live snake! All the costumes for the show
have been meticulously copied and made by Brian Green’s partner Lynn
Tucker from Mother Tuckers Creations.

Brian Green added: “We have spent hours and hours in the rehearsal room
getting the show just right and am really looking forward to the big
night. Things are going so well that the lads are talking about taking
the show on tour after the big charity launch night.”

Tickets for the show can be bought from the Customs House box office or
online, to book tickets follow the link below.
